Models Own Balearic Cool

Good evening! I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday; I have just been lazing around the house haha! I finally got my hands on 3 Models Own polishes from Ninja Polish. I had to use one for a mani & thought I'd share it with you!

The color I used today is Balearic Cool from the Hedkandi collection/line! I used 3 coats for the photos below.

Also, sorry for my awful pointer finger nail, it broke yesterday :/

Balearic Cool is a bright light blue sheer creme! I was pretty excited for this brand because it's gotten a lot of hype. I was a little frustrated, though, since this polish was sheer and super streaky. The color is beautiful, but I hope the other polishes have better formulas! This color took 3 coats of almost full opacity. The topcoat helped to smooth out the streaks.

What do you think of Models Own and this color?

  1. I like the color- too bad about the formula, I feel iffy on models own formulas!

    1. I agree! Luckily the other 2 I bought are glitters, which seemed a lot better!

  3. I like that colour a lot but the formula is too bad :( It's not a super unique color though so maybe you can find a dupe with a better formula? And did you buy Ibiza Mix? It's a great glitter!

    1. I'll try looking for a better dupe! I didn't buy that one because it was sold out, but I did buy Gold Finger & Pink Fizz!

  4. I've got the Hedkandi X Models Own "Ibiza Mix" glitter and the formula isn't great on that either :/ it's a glitter topper but it's SO gloopy and takes forever to dry!

  5. I don't own any Models Own, but I've been wanting to for awhile. This blue is so vibrant!

    1. I would suggest a glitter! The two glitters I have are way better formula wise :)

  6. Oh my gosh, this is so pretty! It looks really great, without any streaking, so you did a great job applying even with the formula issues. :-)
