Essie Shine of the Times & Sally Hansen Cinna-Snap

Good morning! I hope all of you are having a relaxing Saturday morning- finally a day to relax! I heard that Essie was discontinuing Shine of the Times from their Luxe Effects line, so I immediately had to hunt one down and get it! So if you're interested in getting this polish, I suggest looking on eBay if you haven't already :). I topped it over Sally Hansen Cinna-Snap!

What I used:

2 coats Sally Hansen Cinna-Snap

1 coat Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

1 coat Essie Shine of the Times

1 coat Sally Hansen Insta-Dri

Shine of the Times is an opalescent flakie. This is absolutely stunning to look at! It flashes green, yellow, orange and red all at the same angle. Wow, I can't get over how cool that is. The application was a little thick, but I didn't mind :). Unfortunately, I didn't have much fun with the base color of this combo, Cinna-Snap, a burgundy jelly-like creme. Cinna-Snap was a pain to apply and I didn't particularly like the formula. The brush had a hard time getting the polish down to the cuticle and too much polish collected on the stem of the brush. I'm not sure how much I'll use this polish...maybe I'll add some thinner and see what I can do! Overall, though, I like the look of this combo!
